Ovidiu Florian Andriș, manager of the Trib'Art Association was selected among the 5 finalists of this year's edition of the Matei Brâncoveanu Awards, organized by the Alexandrion Foundation. The competition has already gained some notoriety, every year putting forward young people who give meaning to their work, who make important changes in the society through the projects they carry out.

Remarkable personalities in their fields of activity evaluated the participants who got to the grand final: Irina Margareta Nistor, Alexandru Tomescu, Gelu Duminică, Cristina Stănciulescu and Amalia Enache, but the public is the one who will designate the winner by voting here until May 27th, 2021.

Ovidiu was introduced in the competition by Alexandru Tomescu, one of the most appreciated Romanian violinists, and if he wins the great prize of 12.000 euros, he will organize, through Trib'Art, a new edition of The Scene in the Neighbourhood project, through which the independent musicians from Timișoara are supported.

"In 2020, when the entire cultural sector was paused, we developed The Scene in the Neighbourhood project, through which 10 online broadcast concerts were organized in order to support the independent musical sector during a time of major difficulty. The musicians that were involved were offered a fixed allowance when no concert could take place, but also the possibility of reconnecting - even if virtually - with the public, of feeling the emotion of singing again. Since musicians are still a professional category highly affected by the pandemic, a new edition of The Scene in the Neighbourhood would be like a breath of fresh air not only for them, but also for the communities in the districts of Timișoara." Ovidiu Florian Andriș, Trib'Art manager.

Ovidiu Andriș is a graduate of the Hamburg University of Music, and from 2017 he is president and founder of Trib'Art, known as the Artistic Tribe - an association from Timișoara that carries out local, national and international cultural projects. As a cultural manager, Ovidiu initiated and coordinated remarkable projects in the musical-educational field, such as Romanian Chamber Orchestra, Eufonia, The Scene in the Neighbourhood or Musical Pavilion, being simultaneously involved in the production of some of the most important events of the TM2023 Association - The European Capital of Culture.

His passion for music and the desire to develop communities guide him permanently, and each activity carried out by Trib'Art fights for the goal of bringing music closer to the people. Through education, through the quality of the events, through the power of example.
