The anniversary edition of the International Festival "Guitar Evenings", a project of the Cultural Association Kitharalogos, takes place this year in Bucharest, Sibiu and Brasov and proposes recitals and orchestral concerts to the public, with the participation of some of the most important guitarists of the world, together with Romanian musicians of great value.The festival is gaining momentum through collaborations with the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra, with which the Argentine guitarist Pablo Màrquez will play the world premiere of "Concerto for guitar, string orchestra and 2 percussionists, op. 174", entitled "Aluvión", by Dan Dediu, and the Radio Chamber Orchestra with soloists the members of the Bandini-Chiacchiaretta duo (guitar-bandoneon), who will dedicate a special evening to the music of Astor Piazzolla, from whose birth we celebrate 100 years.3 solo recitals in Bucharest and Brasov performed by the above mentioned musicians, who will be joined by one of the most talented and appreciated young guitarists of the moment, the Italian Andrea de Vitis, 2 duo concerts performed by Romanian musicians (Duo Kitharsis and Duo Soare-Bănescu), "Kitharalogos Scholarship" Gala, dedicated to young guitarists, 5 first auditions, masterclasses for pupils and students - these are the events that we hope, in these difficult times, will bring joy to the souls of the spectators who have been watching this project for 10 editions, which has become a cultural landmark in the Romanian guitar and music landscape.

Attendance is allowed only for persons who are vaccinated against SARS-CoV2 and for whom 10 days have passed since the completion of the full vaccination scheme, i.e. persons between the 15th day and the 180th day after confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The correct wearing of the mask is compulsory throughout the concert. Admission to the concerts is free and by reservation at kitharalogos@gmail.com , except for the orchestra concert halls and the chamber concert at the Romanian Youth Palace.
