KlaVis Trio, a special concert in the occasion of the National Day of Austria 2021

Monday, 25 October 2021 , ora 15.07

Keyboards, string and saxophone - the classic has never sounded "hotter"! Four chamber musical works, classical and contemporary, rearranged for the public of the 21st century, are presented by one of the most unconventional Austrian ensemble, Klavis Trio, in a special online concert, exclusively for the Embassy of Austria in Bucharest and the Cultural Austrian Forum, in the occasion of the National Day of Austria 2021. The premiere of this concert will be on the 26th of October at 18.30, on the Cultural Austrian Forum's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

A saxophone between a piano and a violin is not an usual apparition on other concert stages other than the jazz ones. Klavis Trio (Jenny Lippl, violin, Miha Ferk, saxophone, Sabina Hasanova, piano) not only contradicted against the preconceivedideas within chamber music, but it also imposed a new interpretation that attracts various generations of spectators, grace to the bold adaptations of classical works and to the original compositions - some of them of their own - which they play. "Passion" is a must-have word for the three musicians which take on a broad range of musical genres - from Mozart and Brahms, to Schönberg and Krenek, to original plays inspired by ancient folklore rhythms or works of the composers of the 21st century.

Klavis Trio contributes continuously to the development of the repertoire for the piano, violin and saxophone trio, but also for the renewal of the chamber music style. Their main specific feature - the concerts they play are always scoreless, seeing as remembering musical notes represents a manner to internalize music for them, a manner of passing it through their own visions, before giving it to the public.

The ensemble has already been played in great concert places such as Musikverein in Viena, TonhalleZürich, Filarmonica in Saint Petersburg, GasteigMünich, but also in successful festival all around Europe, Asia and even Africa.

Trio Klavis' inventivity and their public success are only two of the reasons the ensemble has been chosen to take part in the #NASOM program - New Austrian Sound of Music -, in order to promote youthful musical talent from Austria. This program was created and it takes place due to the initiative of the Federal Austrian Ministry of European and International Businesses, partnered with The Austrian Centre of Musical Informing - mica-music Austria and Austrian Music Export.
