One of the most important and appreciated guitarists in the world, Pablo Márquez (Argentina/Switzerland), returns to Romania for the anniversary edition of the International Festival "Guitar Evenings" with two concerts, in Sibiu and Bucharest. On Thursday, November 4th, at 7 pm, in the Thalia Hall, together with the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by maestro Horia Andreescu, Pablo Márquez will play the world premiere of the "Concerto for guitar, string orchestra and 2 percussionists, op. 174", entitled "Aluvión", by Dan Dediu, one of the most important Romanian composers. Written 38 and, respectively, 25 years after the guitar concerts by Dumitru Capoianu and Anatol Vieru, "Aluvión" will certainly become a point of reference in the Romanian musical landscape, in which important composers have dedicated to the instrument more and more solo and chamber pieces in the recent years.

On November 6th, the Argentine guitarist returns to Bucharest in the "George Enescu" Concert Hall of the National University of Music where, from 7.30 pm, he will give a recital with works by Milan, Sor and Ponce, and on November 7th, he will hold a masterclass for pupils and students at UNMB.
