Belgium-Romania spiritual interferences

On Sunday, November 14th, at 7 pm, the public is invited to a chamber recital given by soprano Daniela Ciociea and pianist Tudor Scripcariu. The event is especially dedicated to being, by organizers and artists, «… the wonderful holiday through which the Belgian Monarchy is celebrated. The concert also marks the third anniversary of the founding of the Romania-Belgium Cultural Friendship Association. The program includes selected pages from the musical literature of the two countries that have established over the centuries an exemplary relationship of friendship. (Șerban Nichifor)

The program includes works by Cesar Franck, Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens, Eugene Van Itterbeek, George Enescu, Liana Alexandra, SerbanNichifor and Jacques Brel

Daniela Ciociea has a rich solo activity including lied and opera recitals in prestigious halls such as: Musikvereien (Vienna Philharmonic), Teatro Real (Royal Theater) in Madrid, Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia in Rome, Kulturhalle in Siegraben (Austria) and Ardingly College Hall (England). The soprano took part in advanced courses led by personalities of the world lyric scene such as: Viorica Cortez, Magda Olivero, Stefania Bonfadelli, Mariella Devia, Lucianna Serra, Penny Mackay (Royal Academy of Music), GiaccomoAragall at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu and Conservatorio Municipal de Música de Barcelona, ​​Jonathan Hinden, Brian Parsons (Guildhall School of Music), Andrea Mellis (University of Music, Vienna).

Pianist Tudor Scripcariu stood out in international competitions, obtaining the second prize with a silver medal at the International Competition "Maryse Cheilan" - Hyeres - France, the first prize with a gold medal at the International Competition "San Bartolomeo al Mare" -Italy, the second prize at the "Moray Piano Competition" in Scotland and the first prize at the "Manchester Concerto Competition". Between 2007-2010 the pianist studied at the Royal College of Manchester, in the class of Professor Helen Krizos.

Access to the hall of the Romanian Athenaeum is allowed "with the participation of the public up to 30% of the maximum capacity of the space, if all participants are vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 virus and for which 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination scheme or persons which are in the period between the 15th and the 180th day following the confirmation of the SARS-CoV-2 infection and the wearing of the protective mask is ensured ".

The verification of these conditions will be done by presenting the green certificate at the access inside the Romanian Athenaeum.
