"Winter Tells Stories", an extraordinary Christmas show

On Wednesday, 15th of December 2021, from 17.00, at the "Casa Mureșenilor" Museum in Brașov, we are waiting for you at the Recital at 5 o'clock, a special edition of holidays. The artists of the Brașov Opera participate: Maria Catrina - soprano, accompanied on piano by Simona Patriche. In the program, you will be able to listen to traditional Romanian carols, composed by Tiberiu Brediceanu:"Domnul Sfânt când S-a născut", "Gazde mari, nu mai dormiți", "Streșină de mintă creață", "Colo-n umbra pomilor" and by Emil Monția: "Sus, la poarta raiului", "Steaua sus răsare", "Câte flori sunt pe pământ".

Ticket price: 6 lei - adults, 4 lei - retirees and 1.5 lei - pupils, students.These can be purchased from the "Casa Mureșenilor" Museum (Sfatului Square no. 25), before the event starts.


On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 17th, 18th, and 19th of December 2021, from 6.30 pm, in the Opera Hall
, we invite you to our long-awaited and traditional Christmas concert - "Winter tells stories"! Even if the times are difficult, we want to bring joy to your souls, not forgetting the beautiful Romanian carols: "Sus la poarta raiului", "Deschide ușa, creștine", "O ce veste minunată", "Colindăm" and the cheerful winter songs from the international repertoire: "It's Begining to Look a Lot Like Christmas", "I'll Be Home for Christmas","Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Santa Clause is Coming to Town", "White Christmas", "Noel". Special guests in this show are the well-known pop music performers Nico and Aurelian Temișan. Along with them, you will be able to follow the soloists of the Brașov Opera: Mădălina Bourceanu, Nicoleta Chirilă, Aurelia Florian, Corina Klein, Valentina Mărgăraș, Silvia Micu, Anda Pop, Asineta Răducan, Carmen Topciu, Anca Pârlea, Liviu Iftene, Mihai Irimia, Marian Rest. Ballet soloists: Chisako Ota, Ștefan Dascălu. During the show, two fairies will take us into the world of Christmas stories: Alexandra Scriminț and Mihaela Pop, together with Otilia Scriminț (guest). The Orchestra, Choir and Ballet Ensemble of the Brașov Opera give their competition. At the conducting desk will be the master Andrei Tudor, who honors us, again, with his presence at a special event. The artistic direction of this show is signed by Anda Tabacaru. Scenography: Rodica Garștea. Choreography: Alexandru Fotescu, Valentina Mirică. Choir conductor: Dragoș-Mihai Cohal. Stage director: Silvia Papadopoulos.

Tickets are sold both online, on the website www.bilet.ro, and at the Brașov Opera House in Bisericii Române Street no. 51. Cashier Schedule: Monday - Friday 10 - 17 and one hour before the start of the shows (if tickets remain available). Information can be obtained by phone: 0268-419380.

In the 2021-2022 season, children's access to opera and operetta performances is allowed from the age of 7!

Participation in the events of the Brașov Opera is allowed for people who are vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and for whom 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination scheme, for people who are in the period between the 15th and 180 days after confirmation of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, respectively for persons who test negative for an RT-PCR test for SARSCoV-2 virus infection not older than 72 hours or for a rapid antigen test for infection with SARSCoV-2 virus not older than 48 hours - under the conditions established by the joint order of the Minister of Culture and the Minister of Health, issued pursuant to art. 44 and of art. 71 para. (2) of Law no. 55/2020, with subsequent amendments and completions. The green certificate will be accompanied by an identity card.

The performance of the shows is allowed according to the legal regulations in force with the participation of the public up to 50% of the maximum capacity of the hall.

Throughout the performances, wearing a mask is mandatory! The spacing between the seats will be observed. If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, please stay home so as not to endanger yourself or the other participants in the event. Thank you for understanding!
