Friday, 4 March 2022 , ora 15.45

Radio România Muzical and Rotary Club Pipera announce the start of the registrations for the third edition of the "Musical Romanian Heirs" scholarship.

The "Musical Romanian Heirs" scholarship, meant to support the values of Romanian interpretative art in the field of classical music, is addressed to young musicians aged between 16 and 24 years. The scholarship is worth 4.000 euros and is granted in full for only one person.

Contest conduct for obtaining the "Musical Romanian Heirs" scholarship

Candidates will submit online applications for registration by May 8th 2022.

The jury will examine the applications between 9th and 26th of May and the winner of the scholarship will be announced on May 27th 2022.

Conditions for participation

Romanian performers born between January 1st 1998 and December 31st 2006, regardless of the instrument/type of voice, the form of education and the place where they are currently studying. The winners of the previous editions will no longer have the right to participate in this edition.

The scholarship is given for presenting a specific project proposed by the candidate, in relationship with his professional development. The scholarship can be used for supporting the studies inside and outside the country, participation at masterclasses, purchasing an instrument, producing audio/video recordings, records editing and any other activity related to becoming a professional musician.

The jury will not examine the form in which the project is conceived, but its actual content as well as the candidate's ability of supporting it, proven through the recordings with which he/she will enter the competition.

The winner of the scholarship will perform a recital at Sala Radio, as part of the scholarship obtained.

The jury can also decide on some additional benefits offered to the scholarship winner/finalists: special recordings, seasonal concerts, TV shows appearances, support in the nomination for the title of "Young Artist of the Year" at the ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) gala.
