Four Five-star Concerts

Monday, 3 February 2014 , ora 11.48

'Everybody looks for something different. People come into the concert hall and they pay attention to different things, they have different desires. I think that many of them come just so that they can feel alive. We're talking about a soft music, belonging to the Romantic period. Lately, I think people are looking for authenticity… the way one used to perform back then, using the instruments of that time. It is another aspect that many musicians are interested in. I myself am attracted to it… I find it fascinating from an intellectual point of view. But, as I was saying… everyone looks for something different.'

That was Kevin's answer to the question 'What is today's audience looking for in Chopin's music?'.

The American pianist is, alongside Nelson Goerner, Cyprien Katsaris and Evgheni Koroliov, one of the four musicians proposed by Radio Romania Music during the broadcast 'Five-star Concerts'. This week we offer you a selection of the most important moments of the 'Chopin and his Europe' International Festival – the 2012 edition. One of the most prolific and influential composers of piano music and an event entirely dedicated to him this week at Radio Romania Music during the broadcast presented by Larisa Clempuș.

From Tuesday, 4th February to Friday, 7th February, from 15:30, the 'Chopin and his Europe' International Festival on 'Five-star Concerts'. Producer: Octavia Galescu.
