'Tchaikovsky Day'on Radio Romania Music

In 2015, we celebrate the 175th anniversary of one of the most important Romantic composers - Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, born on 25th April or 7th as they say now, in 1840.

It is the composer who left behind masterpieces in mostly all the genres of classical music: Concerto No.1 for piano and orchestra, the 6 Symphonies, the last one being called Pathétique, the Swan Lake ballet and The Nutcracker, Concerto for violin and orchestra, Eugene Onegin and The Queen of Spades.

On 7th May, 2015, Radio Romania Music will broadcast the Tchaikovsky Day. Between 13:10-20:30, Andreea Chiselev and Anca Ioana Andriescu will present the creations which made Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky famous and made him being recognized as one of the greatest composers of all times.

On 7th May the Tchaikovsky Day on Radio Romania Music will consist of: a meeting with Romanticism, expressivity and sensitivity - the music of Tchaikovsky in its most important interpretations from yesterday and from today.
