The programme of tonight’s Radio Chamber Orchestra concert is novel and full of surprises. Firstly, the stage will belong to three pianists from different generations and members of the same family – a continuation over time of the significance that the name Gheorghiu has had for our country for over half a century.

The main performers of Concerto No. 2 in C major for Three Pianos and Orchestra by Johann Sebastian Bach will be Roxana, Valentina and Valentin Gheorghiu (photo).

The second surprise is the fact that the programme includes a new work by Marcel Spinei, a Romanian musician established in Greece. Thus, the end of the concert will offer you the premiere of the piece Extaze (Ecstasies), in memoriam Yannis Xenakis.

The rest of the programme conducted by Cristian Brâncuşi is interesting as well: Suite No. 2 in B minor by Johann Sebastian Bach and Serenade No. 11 in E flat by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
