Radio Chamber Orchestra - live broadcast
Wednesday, 15 December 2010 , 19.00

Today you will witness the last concert of the Radio Chamber Orchestra. An interesting concert bringing together Mozart compositions, works less common on Romanian concert stages and two Mannheim school symphonies: Johann Christian Innocenz Bonaventura Cannabich and Ignaz Jakob Holzbauer.

Thus, it will be a programme influenced by 18th-century Germanic air, a programme unveiling differences, influences, and co-operations between members of the Vienna classic school and the famous Mannheim school.

After the Sinfonia in B flat major by Christian Cannabich, Dana Borșan, solo pianist of the radio orchestras , will remind us about her great passion for Mozart with the Concerto No. 22 in E flat major and that she’s the only Romanian pianist to ever record all of Mozart’s concertos for piano and orchestra.

You will also listen to Ignaz Holzbauer’s Sinfonia No. 10 - the Viennese who settled in Mannheim - who composed almost seventy symphonies during the seventy-two years he lived, as well as other operas and chamber works.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Serenade No.3 will end the concert. If we also mention that German Cristoph Adt (who has conducted ensembles from Asia, America and Europe), an old acquaintance of the Romanian audience, will act as conductor,, one can only say that the last concert of the Radio Chamber Music Orchestra, broadcast live, will be a marvellous event.
