This album released on the 3rd of March 2023 by violinist Dominika Falger and pianist Gajusz Kęska features works by Henryk Wieniawski and Andrzej Nikodemowicz, Polish composers who worked, at various stages of their careers, in the city of Lublin - the former active in the Romantic period, the latter throughout the 20th century. Both created musical works influenced by Polish folklore. Composer, teacher and pianist Andrzej Nikodemowicz lived from 1925 to 2017; he was born in Lviv, in today's Ukraine, into a family of Polish, Armenian and Ukrainian origin; he studied at the Polytechnic University and the Conservatory in his home town, was organist at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in the same town and in 1980 moved to Lublin where he worked until the end of his life as a teacher, choir conductor and president of the Union of Polish Composers. He created a large number of orchestral scores, concertos, chamber pieces and sacred works reflecting his fascination with Johann Sebastian Bach, Frederic Chopin, Alexander Scriabin and Karol Szymanowski.

Violinist Dominika Falger studied at the Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, then at the Universities of Vienna and Graz; she has won numerous prizes in international music competitions and has performed on stages in Europe, America and Asia. She is also passionate about chamber music and is currently a member of the Gliere String Quartet. She is also a member of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and teaches at music universities in Austria.

Pianist Gajusz Kęska studied at the Academy of Music in Cracow and at the Conservatory in Amsterdam; he has played as a soloist and chamber music performer at prestigious festivals in Europe, Asia and South America, he also frequently gives master classes and is a professor at the Academy of Music in Cracow, which he graduated from in 2002 and which awarded him the title of Doctor of Music in 2010.
