Hisimposing voice, capable ofshifting from a commanding presence to dramatic intensity or comforting warmth,remains etched in my memory.But it was the genuine passion for interpretation with which George Emil Crăsnaru breathed life into every note, crafting vivid characters even in the smallest of chamber pieces, that truly set him apart.At the risk of repeating myself, I want to emphasize this quality, which I feel is essential to his interpretive style, particularly as I haven't had many opportunities to see him in our opera productions.
