On November 3rd, 2005, Radio România Muzical aired the first episode of In the Universe of Music, featuring Victor Rebengiuc, the famous Romanian actor, a good friend and listener of our radio station.

Twenty years have passed since then, and this show has really become a symbol in the Radio România Muzical schedule. The guests have always been relevant in their areas of activity, though not necessarily musicians, people who love classical music and can serve as role models for younger generations.

Looking back, I can only be thankful to all those who accepted my invitation to be guests on this show, all of them considered themselves normal people, thinking they wouldn't have much to say about classical music but our conversations often began with almost nothing, only to end with both of us surprised at how much has been said and how much more there can be said.

To celebrate these 20 years, I chose to rebroadcast throughout November 2025 the episodes that featured Victor Rebengiuc, the first to accept my invitation. I remain thankful to Victor Rebengiuc, even right now, him, a star, who chose to be the guest of a young journalist who was not even active in his area of work.

These are programs that have not been heard again in the past 19 years they were last rebroadcast only in the summer of 2006. Partly, this happened because I myself have not been sure sure that their original form was the best one, being the first episodes, I haven't found yet the formula for the program as it is known today. So, for the 2025 rebroadcasts, I kept the original recording with Victor Rebengiuc's voice, selected new musical examples, and changed the structure. From the original four episodes, only three remain, that I offer you on Saturdays, November 1st, 8th, and 15th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.

You will hear Victor Rebengiuc, with his unmistakable voice, recommending different types of music and influencing you you to follow his example to listen without fear to classical music and, like him, to listen only to Radio România Muzical. Today, as Victor Rebengiuc has retired from the stage after a long and glorious artistic career, encounters with such a great personality can only be a privilege.
