Radio România Muzical will be represented at the EBU Jazz Producers Meeting by our colleague Viorel Grecu. He will broadcast live from the event hosted as part of the Jazzahead festival in Bremen on Friday, April 24th, starting at 16:30, during the program Perpetuum mobile. His guests will be Roch Siciński, a jazz radio producer at Polskie Radio, and Attila Weinberger, Vice President of the Romanian Cultural Institute.

The young Roch Siciński has been attending these meetings for several years, and at the new edition he will be one of the speakers at the conference All that Jazz! on Radio, and beyond…. The topic is highly provocative for the entire community of music radio producers: the growing influence of AI and algorithms, and the extent to which they may threaten the traditional way of programming music on the radio. Are passionate specialists still needed-those who present selections based on their own knowledge and taste?

Attila Weinberger (also known as AG Weinberger) is in charge of Romania's stand at Jazzahead, present for the fourth consecutive year in Bremen. Various productions from the local scene will be showcased, including musical artists as well as jazz festivals from Romania.

The Romanian stand is organized with the support of UCIMR, which also supported our colleague's participation.

Jazz producers from the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) meet annually for professional discussions and exchanges of experience. Every two years, they organize the concerts of the Euroradio Jazz Orchestra, a pan-European youth ensemble with a different lineup at each edition. In May 2025, the orchestra celebrated its 60th anniversary with two concerts held in Ljubljana and Zagreb, the first of which was broadcast live on Radio România Muzical. The orchestra's next appearance will be in 2027 in Latvia.

Before that, for the summer of 2026, the EBU is preparing the Euroradio Jazz Competition, a contest for bands with members under 30, in which Radio România Muzical has entered the group Amphitrio.

As for Jazzahead, it should be noted that it is a complex event, including numerous concerts, a large-scale trade fair, and thematic conferences. Its first edition took place in 2006.
