Interview with violonist Mihaela Martin

Tuesday, 28 February 2023 , ora 14.41

The musician will give us more details about the March 4th, 2023 concert which will be held at Sala Radio.

Ms. Mihaela Martin, what are your thoughts on returning to the Sala Radio stage, with the occasion of the traditional "Mãrțișor" concert?

It's been years since my last concert at Sala Radio, so I am very happy to return and to see the audience again, as I'm sure they will enjoy the spring-themed schedule.

How did you arrive at the concert configuration for the 4th of March event?

Razvan Popovici got in touch with me, he is a very good colleague and friend with whom I played on many occasions. This "Mãrțișor" concert which welcomes spring has been happening for a few years now. So he got in touch with me and, as I was available, I was very happy to be able to participate.

What other events are in your agenda for this following period?

I have many things planned for March, both concerts and educational activities, masterclasses. After coming to Bucharest, I have to leave right away for Israel, where I will perform in a chamber music concert and hold a masterclass. Then I'm going to Madrid, to Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, a world-renowned academy, where again I will perform in a chamber music concert and hold a masterclass. Then I'm off to Amsterdam. The summer term starts at the beginning of April, with pretty intense teaching activities, and then the summer festivals' period starts in May. I need to be very organized in order to be as efficient as possible.
