Horia Mihail and Tiberiu Soare - Two Perfomer Friends and Schumann and Brahms - Two Music Composer Friends

Artistic friendships and romantic music scores welcome the Mărțișor at the Radio Hall on the last day of February (28th February at19:00)! The Piano Concerto in A minor by Schumann will be interpreted by pianist Horia Mihail accompanied by the Romanian Radio National Orchestra under Tiberiu Soare conductor’s baton, with which the soloist shares a beautiful friendship.

The entire evening will be under the sign of this wonderful feeling as it will proceed with Symphony No. 1 in C minor by Brahms, because it is well known that there was a special friendship connection and a mutual artistic appreciation between the Schumann couple and Johannes Brahms.

There will also be the opportunity to listen to Cornelia Tăutu’s work Stampe. She is best known by a wide audience for film soundtracks that portrayed movies such as The Moromete Family, Impossible Love, The Mace with Three Seals and others .

A concert soloist for the Romanian Radio National Orchestras and Choirs, Horia Mihail performs in many concerts and recitals on the Bucharest Radio Hall’s stage, collaborating with similar orchestras around the country and as well as the soloist for the Philharmonic in Brașov. The artist has participated (as a soloist or together with other important Romanian musicians) in the consecutive editions of the Traveling Piano, Duel of the Violins, the Three Divas, Golden Flute and George Enescu's Violin Travelling to Rural Areas national tours.

He performed at the Shanghai World Expo (2010) and in the past years he took part in the Varna Summer International Music Festival, Bucharest Music Film Festival, the “George Enescu” International Festival, the Piano Nights International Festival in Kishinev, Balchik Classic Days in Bulgaria. At the same time, he performed in recitals within some important festivals in Ushuaia and Buenos Aires (Argentina).

The Radio Hall can be reached by using the public transportation, such as, the tram routes no. 24 and 44 to the Radio Romania headquarters – Piața Virgiliu bus stop (Berzei Street at the road junction with Știrbei Vodă, close to Berthelot street). You could also use the transportation nearby Mircea Vulcănescu Street, Berzei Street, Știrbei Vodă Street, Eroilor Boulevard, Calea Plevnei, Dinicu Golescu Boulevard – buses 133, 178, 126, 168, 226, 368, etc.
