RadiRo - the International Festival of Radio Orchestras, the Second Edition

The festival packages to the most important musical event of this autumn, RadiRo - the International Festival of Radio Orchestras, the second edition, organized by Radio Romania, are available on the website: www.bilete.ro, at the Romanian Post Offices, in the Inmedio Shops, signaled with Bilete.ro, at the Germanos shops, and at the ticket box office of the Radio Hall starting on 5th June. The tickets for the RadiRo Festival concerts will be on sale on 7th June. This festival is the only one of its kind in Europe and it has been organized biannually by Radio Romania.

Between 20th and 27th September, 2014, five of the greatest European radio orchestras and great conductors and soloists of our time will perform at the Radio Hall in Bucharest.

During the eight-day festival, on the stage of the Radio Hall, you will be able to attend the performances of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra,the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France and the National Radio Orchestra, under the baton of renowned conductors, such as, Joshua Weilerstein, Ondrej Lenárd, Stéphane Denève, Case Scaglione, Vassily Sinaisky, Tiberiu Soare and Cristian Mandeal.

Famous soloists will be the protagonists of the RadiRo evenings, pianist Jonathan Biss, soprano Katarina Jovanovic, pianist Jan Simon, along with violinist Nikolaj Znaider and Vadim Gluzman, mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose, pianist Horia Mihail and violinist Alexandru Tomescu.

Conductor Cristian Mandeal, an outstanding personality, this edition's honorary director, adds prestige and European value to the RadiRo Festival. With hundreds of concerts conducted in 35 countries on 4 continents, being always in the company of renowned artists of the contemporary music stage, Cristian Mandeal is today one of the greatest conductors belonging not only to Romania, but to the whole world. With a remarkable finesse and artistic generosity, conductor Mandeal creates in his concerts, a real "chemistry" of communication with the orchestra and the audience.

For those who would like to enjoy the entire festival programme, there is a limited number of festival packages on sale, for all the 8 symphony concerts that are to be held at the Radio Hall. Packageprices: I - 500 lei; II - 400 lei; III - 300 lei.

The cheapest festival package(senior citizens, pupils and students) is 250 lei and are available at the Radio Hall box-office - 60-64 General Berthelot Str.

Ticket prices: I - 100 lei; II - 80 lei; III - 60 lei.
