Radio Romania is the initiator of this event, thus assuming not only the role of a cultural promoter, but also that of a cultural creator. For over twenty years, Radio Romania has been the main organiser of this kind of events and the only radio station to hold a book fair of such extent and importance.

The honour guest is GFEDIR - the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Institutions in Romania. The host of the Gaudeamus International Book&Education Fair 2015 will be Victor Ieronim Stoichiţă, a renowned researcher and history of art professor who currently lives in Switzerland.

This year's edition is made up a hundred thousand titles, either older or newly launched ones, seven hundred editorial and professional events that take place along the five days while the fair lasts, special guests, many creative workshops dedicated to the younger visitors, as well as many exhibitions.

The official opening will occur on Wednesday, 18^th November, at 12.00.

Same as in the previous editions, there are many audience types that will have free access, such as preschool children, pupils, students, teachers, librarians, editorial and educational professionals, journalists, pensioners, disabled people and organised groups.

The visitors that do not fall under any of the above mentioned categories will be able to attend the event by purchasing a ticket (which costs 5 lei) or a subscription (which costs 10 lei and ensures the access during the entire period), which will also support the Gaudeamus Raffle.

The Fair is open daily between 10.00 and 20.00.
