'Rainbow Elephant': Creative safari followed by jazz concerts at the mall
From February 4, every Sunday, parents and children are invited to embark on a colorful, unprecedented journey into the world of creative workshops complemented by the magic of jazz music.
The 'Rainbow Elephant' is a true creative safari for the whole family to spend the most enjoyable time this season until the spring comes. Between February 4 and April 1, UCIMR and Park Lake have prepared a series of interactive surprise workshops followed by jazz concerts with the most beloved and appreciated bands of the moment. Entrance will be free.
In the Main Square, 'Rainbow Elephant' will host every Sunday from 16:00 workshops where the little ones will learn to make small musical instruments, decorate objects, enter the backdrop of the shadow theatre and will participate in the sound illustration of musical stories, all designed to develop their artistic and practical skills, and to familiarize them with jazz music, full of creative tonalities that will be the bond of all activities.
And from 18:00, it will be time for the jazz concerts held by the most in vogue bands of the moment. Interpreters such as Adrian Nour, Viorica Pintilie, Marta Popivici, Irina Sârbu, Mircea Tiberian, Blue Noise and Teodora Spinu are the artists who will build a world of sounds to make the children more receptive.
There are studies and certifications that music really enhances the ability to assimilate, and the organizers, through this project, have set out to create a friendly environment of development through education.
It all started from the fact that the elephant, as this type of music (jazz) have been labeled too many times, actually hides a colorful sound world that only shows to those who have the patience to learn to listen.
That's why the artists invited to concert each Sunday are musicians who have not once proved that they know and can give voice to the jazz at a professional level, preserving the varied spectrum of colors (tones) and bringing to the audience the music of different periods, combining numerous styles through the joy of being.
The creative workshops, like the concert area, will also be held by professionals in the field, people dedicated with certified teaching skills and experience in coordinating similar activities. The workshops will be organized in partnership with members of the Researchers of Romania National Organization, 'Steaua Polară' Local Center.
First event: Sunday, the 4th of February.
