An extraordinary symphonic concert - 100% Mozart and lesson-show for children, this weekend, at Brașov`s Opera
On Wednesday, 19th February 2020, 11:00 AM, at the Opera`s Hall, children are invited to the lesson-show `A showcase for characters`. The event is primarily designed for schoolchildren between 8 and 12 years old, in order to familiarise the little ones with the genres of a musical show: opera, operetta and musical theatre. Don Pizzicato and Donna Pianina, the owners of a magical showcase with famous characters from operas, operettas and musicals, present the children fragments from the operas: `The Marriage of Figaro` and `The Magic Flute` by W. A. Mozart, `The Barber of Seville` by G. Rossini, `Carmen` by G. Bizet, `The Bat` by J. Strauss, `Silvia` by E. Kalman; from the musical plays: `My Fair Lady` by Fr. Loewe, `West Side Story` by L. Bernstein. `A showcase for characters` is an event that aims at completing the musical education of the children, to familiarise them with the terms: opera, operetta and musical theatre so that, later on, they can easily understand these musical genres and qualify as good, well-informed spectators for opera performances.
