30 young Romanian artists, selected for the program "Young Talents"
30 young plastic artists and musicians from low-income families will be supported during the year 2020 by the Royal Margret Foundation of Romania, during the XIII edition of the program"Young Talents". The support consists of scholarships, mentoring and promotion sessions, which will give young people the opportunity to develop their artistic potential.
Out of the 30 young artists who will receive the Young Talent Scholarship in 2020, 26 were chosen by a specialized jury, following a national selection that took place in January. They are joined by 4 former scholars, students of the program, who will continue their training, but will also have the role of leaders, will inspire the new scholars and offer practical tips from the experience gained so far.
The selected young people are between the ages of 14 and 24 and study at the high schools or universities of fine arts and music in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Iași, Piatra-Neamț, Ploiești and Timișoara. They will have an artistic development plan, through mentoring sessions and intergenerational masterclasses, supported by established artists, within a creative camp, as well as opportunities to promote their work through events organized by the Foundation and program partners.
