Romanian Chamber Orchestra - a unique ensemble that brings together 21 Romanian musicians who perform both in some of the most important orchestras in Europe and in the country - celebrates National Culture Day (January 15th) by launching the documentary "Romanian Chamber Orchestra - Together for music ", a production presenting the second project of the ensemble, which took place in August 2020.
Documentary release - January 15th, 7.30 pm.

"Music has been and will remain the most direct way we communicate the essence of our feelings." Cristian Măcelaru, conductor of the Romanian Chamber Orchestra

The documentary "Romanian Chamber Orchestra - Together for music" is a production supported by the Artistic Tribe Association from Timișoara that tries to capture the mood of the musicians from the Romanian Chamber Orchestra and conductor Cristian Măcelaru during the pandemic, the feelings that tried them and experiences in the new global context.

Also presented are excerpts from the two educational components of the project, the conducting masterclass given by Maestro Cristian Măcelaru and interpretive master classes dedicated to young Romanian violinists, violinists and cellists, taught by: Alexandru Tomescu, Irina Simon-Renes, Alina Lepper , Alexandru-Mihai Bota, Ladislau Cristian Andriș, Olga Mănescu and Octavian Lup.

The pandemic has affected and continues to severely affect both culture and many other guilds in society. The stories you can watch throughout the film are about the lives of many of us and the experiences we have had in recent months. Made during the second project of the Romanian Chamber Orchestra ensemble by the film producer Diana Iabrașu, the documentary comes to strengthen the vision of the conductor Cristian Măcelaru that "music is not just a fad, but it is vital for society".

The documentary will be released online on the orchestra's Facebook page on January 15th, starting at 7.30 p.m. The duration of the documentary is 60 minutes, with English subtitles.

This opus 2 comes as a natural continuation of the first documentary film "Romanian Chamber Orchestra - Music closer to you", which was a real success and can still be accessed on the Facebook page of the orchestra.
