Following its annual tradition, Romania's most popular radio station opens this year's national season of book fairs with a new, online edition of the most read fair - Gaudeamus Radio Romania! Radio Romania invites the most passionate readers to a new meeting with the world of the books between March 1st and 31st, on www.gaudeamus.ro. More than 70 participants, among whom are listed the most prestigious Romanian publishing houses, dozens of events, the latest editorial releases, and lots of surprises, are awaiting the visitors of this edition - a marathon which will begin along the ancient Romanian tradition called Mărțișorul.

The 2021 March edition of the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair, held in an unprecedented formula, both as duration and dynamics, is replacing the traditional edition in Craiova, and, even during this challenging period in giving priority to cultural projects, it conserves the statute of this landmark event in the Romanian book market.

From the point of view of the presented book offer, the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair will keep its all-encompassing feature. However, for the first time, this edition's duration will allow the adoption of distinct themes, which are to be illustrated via the events proposed by participants and literary genres promoted by them at each phase of the fair, adapted to the proposed themes.

Therefore, the first days of the fair - from March 1st to 8th - will be dedicated to female writers and the literature addressed to the female audience. The next phase of the fair, from March 9th to 15th, will be specially reserved for nonfiction, without excluding, though, the other genres. The third stage, held between March 16th and 22nd, will be destined for poetry and fiction, in honour of the International Poetry Day, celebrated annually on March 21st. The last days of the Fair will certainly be the most colourful and joyous, dedicated to children's books and projects of the "Școala altfel" type.

Even in its online edition, the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair will represent an assured and attractive alternative to the schools that will choose the last week of March to carry out this educational project.

The participants' virtual banners, reported as such in the" Virtual Fair" section of their presentation pages on www.gaudeamus.ro website, will be accessible starting from March 1st, and the readers will be able to buy their favourite books by placing the orders on their online stores. Don't forget that many participants will offer their visitors additional benefits (discounts, free shipping) by using the promo codes posted in the fair's online catalogue.

The events will be held exclusively online, available to be watched live, on www.gaudeamus.ro and on the Facebook page of Radio Romania Gaudeamus, on the websites and social networks of the participants, as active links and recordings provided in fair's programme, available once they are scheduled. Unlike previous editions, no matter the formula in which they had been held, the list of participants and the event's programme will remain accessible, and be permanently filled up, by the registration of the new participants, even after the fair's beginning, and by the constant addition of new events.
