Music Venue—music lessons both at home and in the classroom

Monday, 15 March 2021 , ora 12.09

Starting with the 13th of March, the Artistic Tribe Association launches a series of music lessons

Music Venue-music lessons both at home and in the classroom, the project through which the Artistic Tribe Association launched 9 episodes focused on digital music education, has come to an end. Two episodes per week will be made public on the e-learning platform www.pavilionmuzical.ro. 40 musicians, both Romanian and from outside its borders, have contributed to the realisation of these educational videos. They will be made available, for free, to teachers and students who are passionate to learn music.

The first episode, launched on the 13th of March, features the members of the band Cobzality, who bring us closer to the world of the Romanian folklore music, with electro-worldmusic influences. Numerous instruments, rhythms, musical notes and genres are brought alive over the course of the 9 episodes with the help of multiple bands: Pla Cello, Seven's TM Show Band, Dincolo de Ziduri, musicians: Raluca Ilovan, Răzvan Poptean, Rareș Sângeorzan, Andrei Gologan, Roxana Cîrciu, Eduard Antal, Mădălin Luca, Vălungan Remus, Panici Rădoie, Ana Kui, Johnny Kui, DJ K-lu& MC Woodie, under the supervision of the artproject director, Vlad Popescu. The videos will last approximately 22 minutes and will include two instalments: a theoretical part and a practical one, accompanied by short interviews made by musically curious middle-schoolers.

Once the videos released, the digital learning platform www.pavilionmuzical.ro will also be made available-a tool meant to become a centre of resources for music teachers, as well as for anyone interested in discovering music. Here, educators will be able to create an account and contribute with their own learning materials. "The Timiș County School Inspectorate is a trusty partner in our project to broaden the limits of knowledge for musically inclined youth, and we are thrilled that, through the Timiș CSI, we can reach music teachers from other counties as well", says Ovidiu Florian Andriș, manager the of Artistc Tribe Association.

The end of the project will be crowned by a "music tour", when members of the Music Venue team, along with some of the musicians who appear in the videos, will go in many schools around the county and will present their digital music lessons during students' classes. If the restrictive measures against the pandemic will demand it, the tour will be made online.

The project was created by the Artistic Tribe Association and is financed by the "În Stare de Bine" program, sponsored by Kaufland Romania and implemented by the Civil Society Development Foundation.Another sponsor of this project is the Alber Foundation.
