Monday, 22 January 2024 , ora 10.23

One of the most important international juries awarding prizes for audio-visual productions, the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA), whose distinctions are often called "the Oscars of classical music", will meet for the first time in Romania, between the 25th and 28th of January 2024.

It is customary for the annual meetings to be hosted by a member of the jury; on this occasion, jury members, journalists and managers at some of the leading magazines, radio and online publications dedicated to cult music, also attend music events in the cities hosting the meetings.

In 2024, the meeting is organised by Radio România Muzical, which is part of the ICMA jury in 2019. Jury members will attend the season concerts of the National Radio Orchestra and the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra.

Specially for the ICMA jury's visit, the Brașov Philharmonic and Radio Romania Muzical are organising the extraordinary recital "Pe-un picior de plai, pe-o gura de rai", on Saturday, January 27th, 7 pm, at the Patria Hall. The special guests of this recital are Romanian-born violinist IulianaMünch, accompanied by pianist André Parfenov with a repertoire of transcriptions and original works by André Parfenov. Presented by Cristina Comandașu, manager of Radio România Muzical and member of the ICMA jury.
