The Christmas Concert at Sala Radio, organized by SoNoRo Association and Radio România Muzical, has already become a beautiful tradition.

In 2024, for the fifth meeting under the sign of Beauty and Value, Răzvan Popovici and his guests are waiting for you at Sala Radio, on Sunday, March 3rd. Joining the well-known Răzvan Popovici, violinist with a rich international career and creator of the SoNoRo festivals, are important names from the international scene: violonist Nicolas Dautricourt and pianist Shani Diluka.

The highly attractive program, placed under the sign of the SoNoRo Conac project, includes well-known pieces such as Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's "Memories of a Dear Place" Suite or Astor Piazzolla's "Oblivion," alongside less frequently performed compositions like Bohuslav Martinu's "Three Madrigals for Violin and Viola." Additionally, the musicians propose a work by a female composer, Rebecca Clarke, one of the most renowned British violists of the 20th century - another tribute to creative femininity.

Sunday, March 3rd, at 7:00 PM, Radio Hall: a celebration of spring and high-quality music with a chamber concert that demonstrates classical music is for everyone.

Tickets are available on www.entertix.ro and www.myticket.ro, at Cărturești bookstores, and at the Radio Hall box office.

Organizers: SoNoRo Association and Radio România Muzical, with the support of BRD Groupe Société Générale.

The name of the violist Răzvan Popovici, the initiator and organizer of the SoNoRo phenomenon, is already well-known in Romania. SoNoRo is a cultural platform that includes chamber music festivals, national and international tours, and an extensive educational project. Răzvan Popovici's name, as a member of the Raro Ensemble, is featured on 8 highly successful internationally acclaimed records. For 21 years, Răzvan Popovici has been leading the Chiemgauer Musikfruhling festival in Traunstein, Germany. Numerous young musicians from three continents have benefited from his guidance in various masterclasses. Since 2023, Răzvan Popovici has also been a full professor at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, Belgium, where he has been teaching since 2018. However, the viola remains his great passion, evident in the numerous concerts he has performed on major international stages alongside some of the most significant names.

French violinist Nicolas Dautricourt is known to the Romanian audience following his appearance in the 2021 George Enescu International Festival, where he presented the Enescu Project, which he co-initiated with violinist Valentin Șerban, violist Răzvan Popovici, cellist Valentin Răduțiu, and the Capriccio Quartet. Nicolas Dautricourt is also the recipient of the Enescu Prize awarded by SACEM (2008). His career began with the Discovery Prize at the MIDEM Awards in Cannes (now ICMA Awards) in 1999, and he has been a finalist in several prestigious international competitions. Having performed on some of the world's most prestigious stages, in 2021, he was honored with the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government.

Pianist Shani Diluka, born in 1976 in Monaco to Sri Lankan parents, started piano studies as part of Princess Grace of Monaco's program supporting young talents. She graduated from the Paris Conservatory in 1997, mentored by legendary figures such as Maria Joao Pires, Murray Perahia, and Martha Argerich. Currently, she is one of France's prominent pianists, with a significant career both as a solo concertist and as an accompanist to renowned musicians like Nathalie Dessay. Her discography includes nearly 30 titles, many of which have received numerous prestigious awards in the French cultural space.
