About the Soul in Colors project:

"We invite you to work together to turn the miracle of music into the miracle of recovering children with autism."

The classical music charity project was founded in 2014 as a combination of the desire of the Association for Music, Art and Culture to provide support for people in need and the goal of the Help Autism Association - to support the recovery of children diagnosed with autism. It is the seventh year in which the Help Autism Association marks the International Autism Awareness Day, April 2, through this cultural event designed to draw attention to the issue of autism in Romania and raise funds to support the more than 600 children and adolescents in the association. More details about the project initiated by the Association for Music, Art and Culture, as well as about the previous editions of the project can be found on: http://musicarte.ro/suflet-in-culori/

About autism:

Worldwide, 1 in 68 children is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and the results of studies conducted in our country unfortunately put us in the same incidence. In Romania, every year, 1000 children are diagnosed with autism (according to the National Institute of Mental Health). Autism is the most common childhood disorder, it cannot be cured, but through early diagnosis and specialized intervention, almost half of affected children can live an independent life. A child with autism spends on average between two and eight hours a day in the therapy room, months or even years in a row, and the costs are between 2000 and 5000 lei per month. 11 years after its establishment, the Help Autism Association is today the largest organization dedicated to children with pervasive developmental disorders in Romania. Help Autism supports hundreds of children diagnosed with ASD through therapy programs, in the 5 centers and at home. From specific therapy to school integration programs, from support for parents to awareness, lobbying and advocacy campaigns, Help Autism seeks to constantly provide a range of solutions for children and adolescents with autism and their families, to prepare the school and society to accept and integrate them. More details about the activity of the Help Autism Association can be found on www.helpautism.ro
