Interview with Diana Moș, the rector of the National University of Music Bucharest
Mrs. Diana Moș, from 24th to 29th March, the National University of Music Bucharest is hosting the 16th edition of the "Chei" Festival. Could you tell us which concerts should the public attend?
I think the most significant and representative events of this edition are precisely the opening and closing concerts of the festival. Once again, we have the honor and privilege of collaborating with great Romanian artists, such as maestros Cristian Mandeal and Tiberiu Soare. They are not only exceptional artists, but also inspiringteachers. It is a real privilege for us to work with them, as it gives our students the chanceto experience the art of conducting and interpretation and learn directly from such experts in the most engaging way possible. We are grateful for their involvement, as we have been in previous years. I believe it's very important for our students to have such opportunities to present their work and interact with true artists.
Besides these two major events, which will take place on Monday, March 24th, at the Bucharest National Opera and on March 29th at the Romanian Athenaeum, our university, as always, offers a wide rangeof performances, that include everything from Baroque music, featured in the concert of the Baroque Orchestra, to jazz and light music concerts. There's also the composition class concert, where our students will showcase their work, which will be performed by their colleagues and professors in a highly productive collaboration. Moreover, we'll have stage movement performances and a musicology symposium presented by our students. We have also included a concert in collaboration with Tinerimea Română and the Preludiu Choir, conducted by one of our young choral conductors, Andrei Stănculescu.
So, I believe every spectator will find something to their liking.
