Interview with Mrs. Elena Manolescu managing director of the Best Art Cultural and Artistic Association
The second edition of The International Ballet Gala is being held on November 7th, 2009 at the Palace Grand Hall and promises to bring together dancers from Europes best ballet theaters. Mrs. Elena Manolescu managing director of the Best Art Cultural and Artistic Association, who took part in organizing the event talks to us about the dancers scheduled to appear on stage and about the difficulties they have overcome in preparing for the show.
Who are the stars performing at the second edition of The International Ballet Gala?
13 names show up on the program for this year's edition, out of which
I would like to mention Iana Salenko, Marian Walter from Berlin, Erina
Takahashi and Dimitri Gruzdyev representing The English National Ballet,
as well as Alina Somova form Ballet Kirov in Sankt Petersburg and
The Mariinski Theater. David Makhateli which attended the previous
edition is taking the stage for us once again this year. Also, we
cannot leave out Jiri and Otto Bubenicek, Elisa Carillo and Mikhail
Kaniskin. They are all very good. Nadia Veselova Tencer the gala's
artistic director has prepared an extraordinary show for us once again.
Was it difficult for you to bring all these dancers together on
one stage?
It most certainly was, because performing on a great stage such as this can be extremely demanding for any artist.
