Anniversary concert in the Classic is fantastic - statement by Cristina Sarbu
On Saturday, December 5th, there is an anniversary concert in the "Classic is Fantastic" season. More about tomorrow's event - which can be watched online - we learn from the statement provided by Cristina Sârbu, the project coordinator.
I am pleased to say that the George Enescu Philharmonic and the "Classic is fantastic" Association announce a new concert, unfortunately, without an audience, from the series "Classic is fantastic - How to understand music". On Saturday, December 5th, at 11.00 am, on the stage of the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum will be held a new jazz lesson, which will be transmitted online, in real time and in which we invite you to participate, all those who, for 10 years, have been with the project "Classic is fantastic".For 10 years, at every jazz lesson, the hall was overcrowded . Those who participated, remember, the enthusiasm and joy, when singing to Santa Claus or to singing to Mommy, on Mother's day, there were occasions when an entire hall, 800 seats, sang and learned to improvise, had a good time with Irina Sârbu and her jazz band. Sometimes the demand for tickets was so high that we scheduled two concerts on the same day, at 10.00 and 12.30, and we are glad to say that both the halls were full. We now wanted to sing again for our dear audience, on the eve of the holidays, to bring a touch of joy, color and hope, in these hard and grey times. That's why we say to you, to all of you who are listening to us now, and to those who know what Classic it's fantastic means, to sing with us, to enjoy with us even if you do it from the armchairs at home. Only once a year can we meet Santa. Let's welcome it properly, Saturday, December 5th, at 11.00, at the Romanian Athenaeum, concert without audience, "Classic is fantastic - How to understand music", "Let's sing to Santa Claus in jazz rhythm". Irina Sârbu - vocals, Sebastian Burneci - trumpet, Puiu Pascu - piano, Ciprian Parghel - double bass, Tudor Parghel - drums. Guests: Maia Burneci, Ana Parghel Sârbu, Nectaria Stoica. I'm going to comment, as usual, me, Cristina Sârbu. In the program, winter songs for children, Romanian and international carols. And now, the most important information, the concert-show, will be able to be followed on the online channels of the George Enescu Philharmonic, on the Facebook page and on the Youtube channel of the Philharmonic, on the Facebook Radio Romania Musical and Classic is fantastic. Access is free. We look forward to you, Saturday, December 5th, at 11.00 am, at the Romanian Athenaeum, that all together we can sing to Santa Claus, in jazz rhythm. Classic is fantastic, even in hard times.
