On Sunday, works by Nicolae Lungu, Gheorghe Cucu, Paul Constantinescu, Marțian Negrea, Gavril Musicescu, and Corneliu Cezar will be performed. Therefore, it will be a complete Romanian choral concert. How did you choose the program?

The invitation from Mrs. Secretary General Alina Pârvulescu of the National Choral Society of Romania was an opportunity for us to mark this moment, which certainly filled us with sadness at the time. But now, after a year, we think gratefully of the maestro, and we chose a program that he would have liked.

What significance does Maestro Voicu Enăchescu hold for you? It's hard to put into words.

I can only tell you that he was the person who inspired this change in my life, from playing the violin to conducting, and he has influenced my professional journey for the past 8 years.

Could you paint a portrait of maestro Enăchescu?

He was a person full of spirit, life, erudition, subtle humor, and a great lover of people. Musically, he was a complex musician with a special sense for Romanian music in particular, and even for the religious music that we are going to perform this Sunday. The interpretations you will hear, although they bear the personal touch of conductor Andrei Stănculescu, are somehow marked by all the experiences I have lived alongside Maestro Voicu Enăchescu.

How does the impact of the maestro continue to be felt on the choir he founded?

Beyond the maestro's spirit, which is probably with us at every rehearsal, you know that we have added the maestro's name to the choir's name. The choir has been called the "Prelude Chamber Choir - Voicu Enăchescu" for a year now. So, we always have the maestro in mind, and we continue his work as best as we know and can.

How does it feel for you to take over after maestro Voicu Enăchescu?

Honored and, at the same time, initially quite daunting. But I think in the past two years or so, I've already overcome that stage... it's extremely engaging and makes me think very seriously about how much more I have to learn and how I can carry on the legacy left by Maestro Voicu Enăchescu.

What is the choir's agenda for the end of the year?

For the end of the year, our choir's agenda is quite busy and somewhat diverse. In November, this is our last concert, and then we move on to preparations for December, for the Christmas concerts - the first one being on December 3rd at the Romanian Athenaeum, in the company of the "New Hope" Orchestra, the BRD Choir, and conductor David Crescenzi. Then, on December 18th and 19th, we will have two concerts at the "Tinerimea română" Palace, with a project called "Prelude Christmas Jazz," which somewhat attempts to blend choral music with the jazz improvisation of American Christmas music.
